Today was the biopsy test I had waited for all week and worried about.  It was helpful to watch the procedure on the internet to understand exactly what was going to happen.  That kind of preparation is so helpful for someone who doesn’t know what to expect.  I didn’t watch them put the needle in because I hate needles but the technician (same one who did ultra-sound last Monday) was great at explaining what to expect.  The radiologist came in and did his work.  I had several questions about the procedure and what to expect now and he answered questions.  He thought that the treatment, if these samples were positive, would involve surgery and radiation.  I was elated to think that I wouldn’t need chemo therapy.  Again, so glad to have procedure over but now more waiting to see if I did indeed have cancer, or not.  They said it would take 48 hours to find out.

Gloria, my new favorite friend, brought over the most delicious dinner from Market Street.  It tasted so good.  I forget how hungry you get when you’re distracted and worried about your health and life.

Today was a very special day because Mike was going to ask Elle to marry him.  The plan was that he would take her to the Montage Restaurant above Empire Canyon and then on their way down would stop at one of the bridges at Deer Valley to propose.  Joe and I came in because we would get the bridge ready for a proposal.  We took candles, rose petals and a bouquet of roses and made the bridge look beautiful.  It was warmer than usual and the stars were so beautiful that night.  Joe brought his ski pole so we could dig holes in the snow and put in the lighted candles.  It was beautiful!  We waited behind a condo until we saw them come.  Mike called us as we were driving home and said it was perfect.  He was so happy and we adore Elle!
