Quote of the Day:  Facing it, always facing it, that’s the way to get through it.  Face it.  Joseph Conrad

(Thank you Sue, your influence is felt all the way from Brazil!)

From Waking the Warrior Princess:  Custom # 9  Eat at least one clove of garlic several times a week.

Today I have been so lifted by others that this is a GRATITUDE BLOG!

Thanks to Tamara McDermaid who keeps sending me messages full of information and comfort- including these words:

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.   As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

Thanks to Melanie Rossiter who sent a beautiful card written so eloquently (obviously gets the gift of thoughtful speech from her mom, Michele)  “I am only one, but I am still one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something, and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

My sister, Erin, who reminded me of the scripture “in the strength of the Lord thou canst do all things”  Alma 20:4

Bill and Shirley Bailey-  Happiness Angel- just the direction I want to be going

Sue Oldroyd who buoys me up each day w/ a positive message, decorates each of our friends w/ a pink running pin,  shows up w/ cards that always make me laugh, gives the gift of a beautiful bracelet w/ the words “BELIEVE, COURAGE, STRENGTH”

Jennifer Merkley- who knows just what I will be going through- whose amazing words and head scarf show me what it means to give

Shonnie Hays for the beautiful flowers and words that sum it up “I hope your ordeal will pass quickly!”

Melissa Faber for the “Cup of Healing” and aromatic healing for stress, nausea and fatigue.  How does she always know what is needed?

Rosemary Wixom for contacting and comforting Taylor in Guatemala

Hugs from the Community of Caring Board, Cokie, Donna, Tawnie, Patti, Matt, Julie, Mary B., Georgia

Phone calls or e-mails of caring and concern: my Mom, Rees Jensen, Mack Lawrence, Mike Duffy, Rosemary and Jack Wixom, Irene, Sue Buehner, Kathy Cahoon, Susie Beaudoin, Gloria, Julie W., Mark, Taylor, Mary, Alex

Highlight of my day:  Pre-Chemo Party w/ my Community of Caring Board Members, You guys are the best!  I know I’m really so much older than you but you make me feel and happy about the future of the world!
