Saturday, December 1

It’s the first day of December, 45 degrees outside and we are running in capris.  Cokie, Sue O. and I started on our eight mile journey at 6:30 A.M. and at the four mile mark, our turn around spot, we met up with Lori, Melissa and Teri as we were treated to one of the most beautiful sunrises.  We faced east acknowledging that seeing this amazing sunrise is our payment for getting up so early.  It was reddish pink and then turned and mixed with oranges and blues and further down in the sky near Lone Peak clouds made a lovely covering over the mountain tops.  And then, when those colors started to fade, we turned west and the sky kept on giving, more pink intermingled with wispy white clouds.  It is not lost on me that I live in a most beautiful place.  I am a Westerner, I believe that the landscape has shaped and continues to mold my character.  Sometimes, I just want to spin around under this beautiful sky, let the landscape fill up my soul and surround me in beauty.
