Quote of the Day: “It isn’t the mountains ahead that will wear you out, it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.” Unknown
Exercise Log: Patti and I parked at Rattlesnake Gulch and then walked to Log Haven which is 5.24 miles (+1.12). It was beautiful in the canyon, we saw deer, rapidly flowing waters and blooming Balsam Root. Patti wore shorts but I still was in long tights. Can’t wait for the shorts and sleeveless running tops!
Today Patti asked me to define the 10 greatest blessings in my life so we had a fun time discussing them as we walked. For me: #1 my family- meaning my relationship with Joe and the happiness and welfare of our children and their families and future families. #2 Gospel and temple blessings- being sealed as a family #3 Connection with extended families- having family nearby and being able to share in joys and sorrows #4 Incredible friends and their support in every aspect of my life- their example has taught me more about life than I’ve learned anywhere else. #5 My physical body- being able to be healed and healthy and to do all the physical things I desire- running, tennis, other things I want to accomplish #6 The great outdoors- being so close to the canyons, hiking, camping, recreating, Grand Teton National Park- Colter Bay and Jackson Lake, #7 knowledge and the desire to learn, desire to improve my mind, reading all kinds of books and also having a healthy sound mind #8 Being born in a country that allows for freedoms in choosing who and how to worship, belief that anything is possible and you can shape your own destiny #9 Being able to provide a quality of life for family and grandchildren #10 Being able to help children with their education- grateful that children realize that higher education is a must in their success.
